Profile Name

A list of pre-set profiles that have been setup by the manufacturer, it is possible to create additional profiles by selecting 'Custom Profile' from the drop-down menu

Load & Save

The load and save buttons are only available if 'Custom Profile' is selected from the profile name list.  The save button will save all current laminator settings to a .LMP file in the location chosen by the user, the load button is used for loading any .LMP files that have been saved.  This function is useful for transferring settings between driver versions and different PC systems.

Description

A line of text that describes the currently selected laminator settings profile, this text usually contains the type of cards and laminator film that should be used with the selected profile

Roller Temperature

Adjusts the heated roller temperature of the laminator unit in degrees C.

-          Low temperatures will result in laminator panel not adhering to the card.

-          High temperatures will cause stability issues; it is recommended that you only make slight adjustments.

Card Speed

Specifies how fast the card travels during the lamination process, increases or decreases overall lamination time.

Low speeds will cause the card to absorb more heat and cause stability issues. High speeds will cause the card to receive insufficient heat to adhere to the laminate, it is recommended that only small adjustments be made

Pre-Lamination Delay

Specifies the length of time the laminator will pause after the card has been moved into position and before the lamination process commences. Usually used to let the card cool down after printing.

Start Offset

Adjust the positioning of the laminate patch at the start of the card, measures in 1/50 millimetres

End Offset

Adjust the positioning of the laminate patch at the end of the card, measures in millimetres.

Film Type

Select the type of laminate film that you have loaded, either Overlay (hologram) laminate film, or Patch (sequential) laminate film.  Overlay Holographic film that is Registered requires the laminator to be set to patch.  The way to tell is if the Laminate film has black square marks along one side of the film.  Registered Overlay film allows for a repeated pattern to be centered on the card every time.
